Yup thats right. Lets just say things over the past 2 1/2 weeks have moved at the speed of light. If you had asked me a month ago how long I thought it would take for me to get back to new zealand, i'd say at least a year or so. But here I am, back in my home town!

A handful of people know whats happened, and I don't feel comfortable going into great detail. Just know that things weren't working out in australia that great (with the exception of the wonderful friends I made, and miss a lot), and we were offered a chance to come back. I was told we'd have about 6 weeks to get things packed and ready to leave, then that turned into 2 weeks - it would've been tight but we could manage that. Instead on saturday the tickets were booked, we were handed them and told we were leaving sunday night at 5:30pm. So yeah it was about 36hrs to pack our life up and say our goodbyes.

But its not doom and gloom, despite being homesick for my friends, Things are going great here. I've already got two part time jobs, both of which start properly tomorrow. I did training for both of them, last week. I'm feeling a lot more positive about it. I'm aiming to get a full time job, but sometimes it just takes a little time.

I missed christchurch more than I realised, and I feel excited at the thought of getting back out there and exploring the city. I've already noticed a bunch of stuff thats changed, and plenty of things that haven't. It feels nice

So as a result, there might not be much art from me for a wee while - I'm using my mum's computer at the moment until ours arrives, and we get settled in our own place. I took some photos of plants and such last week, but I haven't had a chance to look through them really, actually I think i'll go do that now.
