How crazy is that? there are long periods of time when I almost forget this place exists, and then there are times I do pop in and browse art. Things are getting more and more insane in my offline life. I'm working extra hours, I'm helping my best friend plan her wedding, planning her hens night, having my second round of dental surgery on the 18th September, and trying to find time to express myself creatively through my photography. ARGH! how can It almost be Christmas already? this year has flown by so quickly in some ways and has dragged on in other ways. Life stuff - well... work is reopened so that's a major YAHOOO for us and a big step towards returning to normality (or what will pass for normal around these parts for awhile to come). I'm back! We had an amazing trip away, and I felt relaxed and able to de-stress for the first time in a few months - well, to be honest since the sept 4th quake last year. I can't describe how amazing it was, truly. We went to Nelson, a beautiful city on the south island - took us about 6hrs by bus. The best part about the trip - I took over 500 photos. That was a huge thing for me, I haven't felt able to express myself through photos properly since all this crazy stuff happened - yes I took the odd pic I liked, but nothing that made me jump with joy or squee with delight and amazement at what I captured through the lens.
